The course aims to provide the trainees with minimum knowledge and understanding of basic theory and practical skills necessary for the Electro-technical rating.
The course is designed for all future Electro-technical ratings that meet the conditions set in the Regulation on ranks and certification of seafarers (Official Gazette of Montenegro number 55/2013).
Candidates successfully completing the course will be understand the principles of electrical, electronic and control engineering at the support level.
Officers who would like to undertake this course must have approved seagoing service of not less than 12 months or appropriate seagoing service and knowledge of ship operations.
The course takes full account of the detailed outline set in D.27. part of the Regulation on ranks and certification of seafarers (Official Gazette Montenegro number 55/2013). The course is fully compliant with the part of IMO Model Course 7.08.
