The training course is practical and theoretical and consists of a series of exercises performed on LNG cargo handling simulator. Classroom lectures are included and will provide the necessary theoretical background for the exercises. Trainees will become familiar with the SAFE CARGO OPERATION through various simulator exercises supplemented with Cargo Handling Manuals, Company SMS procedures and checklists and operational load/discharge plans, same as onboard actual vessel.
Meanwhile, trainees’ will be able to practice the use of emergency preventive action and CCR teamwork in critical situations. Good Resource Management can prevent human errors from leading to major failures. This training is taking into consideration not only the STCW guidelines and recommendation, but industry guidelines, as well.
This training course provides training for masters, officers and any person with immediate responsibility for the loading, discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo.
The trainees who successfully complete this training course will have gained exercise in handling cargo operations under various conditions and will make a more effective contribution to the CCR team during cargo operation in normal and emergency situations with effective use of all available resources to improve safety (human, equipment, information…).
