In June 2014, CESM (China Energy Ship Management Co., Ltd.) personnel, together with two professors from Shangai and Dalian Maritime University attended the 10-day  LNG Carrier Standard Training Course in Azalea Maritime Training Centre. As a result of our cooperation and relationship with CESM, Azalea Maritime training staff conducted the LNG Carrier Standard Training Course at Dalian Maritime University (DMU) in October 2014, which was the next logical step. The training was conducted for junior officers from China, a mix of deck, engine and electrical officers, in English language, however with regular translation to Mandarin for better understanding of the training course concept and their roles, duties and responsibilities on board ship. Next visit of Azalea Maritime training staff to Dalian Maritime University is scheduled for March 2015, and as time goes by, more and more training courses will take place until all officers from China have undergone same training.

We are proud to announce that as from August 28th, 2014, Azalea Maritime Training Centre was accredited as Maritime Training Institute by Bureau Veritas class, world leader in testing, inspection and certification whose clients are required to fulfill the highest standards and requirements in terms of quality, safety, environmental protection and social responsibility. Maritime Training Institute certification is one of the ISO fields, however it is more detailed and specific in terms of training, education, equipment, instructors, which is unique as it is not done by any other certification society, however it is well recognized in the every day growing and more demanding shipping industry.

Next to the Maritime Training Institute accreditation, we have additionally certified three training courses: LNG Carrier Standard Training, Operational and Management Level, as per SIGTTO requirements and recommendations; SIRE Training as per OCIMF requirements and recommendations; and Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation.

Azalea Maritime is proud to announce the official opening of Azalea Maritime Ltd., Croatia office in Dubrovnik. The office is located within the premises of Hotel Rixos Libertas which provides all the amenities for a successful international business organization.

The opening gathering have attended some of the local Azalea Maritime seafarers, staff of Azalea Maritime LLC, Montenegro, as well as the Managing Directors of Azalea Maritime BV, Netherlands, Mr. Teruyuki Tsutsumi and Mr. Isaac Tsutsumi. Special guest of the event was Mr. Atsumi Ono, Manager of the MOL Seafarers Group in Marine Safety Division.

The opening event started with a small gathering on the Hotel terrace, after which the visitors relocated into the new office premises, where Mr. Teruyuki Tsutsumi presented the Anniversary Rose to C/E Zoran Stojanovic as a sign of gratitude for the long service. After that, Mr. Tsutsumi gave a small opening speech, emphasizing that the idea and goal of Azalea Maritime group is to become more connected to our seafarers in these demanding times and to establish a strong Company network on the Adriatic coast for the purpose of achieving that goal.

During the MOL LNG Seminar in October 2014, office was visited by representatives from the MOLLNG Japan and MOBSEL, Mr. Kazuhiro Kitamura and Mr. Toshiya Iwakami, and official commendation of the office opening was awarded by Mr. Takaaki Inoue, Managing Executive Officer of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd.
